  • We placed jpeg images into our A4 page.
  • We used text tool to create a title.
  • We sent image to the back if it was over our text - click on image and send to back.

Practical Task - Launching your own Magazine/ Design and make

Today we will   research and development on creating our own 'LIFESTYLE' magazine.

There are a number of rules we must apply:

1. Thumbnails - good planning = good design = good outcomes
2. Layout - Housestyle
3. Typography - Fonts
4. Serif - Sans Serif
5. Images - photographs
6. Margins, double pages spread, columns, page numbers.


  • Today you will find FOUR magazines or more and create informative thumbnails for these magazines.
  • Include cover and inside 'double page spreads'.
  • Include as much info on the magazine, date, title, genre etc
  • Your designs must contain as much information as possible as this will aid you when we start our InDesign development.
  • GQ, Forbes, Mens Health, Time, Elle, Vogue, Blend, Esquire, Aesthetica, Attitude.
